Loft Kids Beds

Loft beds or some call them platform beds have been around for centuries. Probably the first true bed that was up off the floor can be called a loft bed. The sleeping part of the bed or the mattress is raised and is on four poles so there would be more space under the bed for different items. Most are made of either metal or wood. Some have no footboard, giving the loft bed a feel of openness. Some loft beds can be used with our without box springs, you can get just the mattress with a pillow top and that eliminates the box springs.

As the metal support rails are strong, it will hold the mattress nicely, although the mattress can only be about six inches thick. Whether buying wood or metal, either one can be painted to suit the boys taste.
